There are many different ways that people can be productive. Some people work in the morning, others work at night and some need to take a break every hour or so for fear of burning out. However, there is one thing that we all have in common: we want to be as productive as possible. In this blog post I will show you four simple tips for increasing your productivity!

Tip #01: Get a grip on your time. There are 168 hours in each week, and most people only work about 40 of them. That leaves 128 hours for you to use as you please! If you have some free time or want an afternoon break from work, put it into your calendar so that there is no question when the time is available.

Tip #02: Break your work into blocks and set a timer for 15 minutes. This will help you focus on one task at a time, while also giving you the feeling that you are being productive because each block of work is completed in fifteen minute increments. If there’s something else bothering me, I’ll take notes and write it down for later.

Tip #03: Take a break! Whether you need to get up and stretch your legs, take out the trash or grab some snacks, taking care of yourself is one way to making sure that you’re not burning out on work. I know from experience that when I’m hungry my brain doesn’t function as well, and I’m more likely to make mistakes on my tasks.

Tip #04: Write down your goals! Writing everything out is a great way for you to get clarity on what needs done and how best to do it. If you keep track of things in writing, it will be easier for you when reviewing them later or asking for help from family.

Tip #05: Be accountable for your work! It can be hard to get yourself out of bed in the morning or stay motivated when you’re working on a task, but it’s important that we all find ways to do so if we want to be productive. Find someone who will care about what you produce and be accountable to them for your work.

Tip #06: Give yourself a break! It’s important that we take care of ourselves and do things that make us happy, which is why it may be good to have an activity outside of work planned each day or week. Whether you go for a walk in the morning before anyone else wakes up, or you spend your lunch break reading a book, it’s important to take time for yourself.

Tip #07: Make sure you have enough sleep! Sleep is the best way that we can recharge our brains and be productive in the morning. It may seem counterintuitive, but going to bed on time will help us get more done because we are recharged and able to work.

Tip #08: Set realistic goals! We all want to be the best, but it is important that we don’t set our expectations too high. Setting unrealistic goals can lead us to feeling like failures when they’re not met, which will only make things worse for you in the end. This year, set your goals according to what you know is realistically achievable so that you can feel accomplished and proud of yourself.

Tip #09: Keep things in perspective! When we are feeling overwhelmed or like our work isn’t going anywhere, it’s good to take a step back and get some distance from the situation. It’s important for us to take a few moments to look at the bigger picture and remember that everything is going to be okay.

Tip #10: Do what you love! One of the best ways for us to stay productive in our work life is by doing things that we enjoy or are passionate about. If you’re spending your time on something that doesn’t make your heart sing, you’ll likely be less productive.
